Life's Plan

We spend our years as a tale that is told;
Day by day the details unfold.
Chapter on chapter the memories pile up,
Successes and failures take turns on the top.

Time marches on and days become years.
We try to remember the joys, not the tears
A positive approach is the very best way
To further your plans and be happy each day.

We can't be sure that life will be fair;
In fact it won't, so consider the dare
To refine your own character, have personal success
In spite of the burdens, the cares, the tests.

When we come to the end of life's December,
We've achieved success if folks will remember
A person of moral and spiritual greatness,
Kind, loving and friendly, without any prejudice.

Why not plan your life with one thing in mind;
To return to the Lord leaving the world behind
With pleasant memories for those who are dear,
That you had character and love; you were kind and sincere.
