Exploring

Would we then be soldiers of fortune
throwing chance after pips of the dice?
Stout hearted wayfarers undaunted
by the sensational spectacle we’ve revealed?
Tossing and tumbling humans, exposing
more than provocative flesh and blood,
skin and bone. Renegades of romance?
Primitive pioneers? Barbaric, selfish beasts?
Might we almost imagine an erotic, trembling
eruption of encounters? Enrapt and throbbing
in the dissolving discovery of our love
and other pleasures of the mind.
