Winter’s Night

Let the eyes of winter watch down
beneath a thousand moments of time.
Lay still the evenings symphony
under the night.

Whispers of storm,
sings of sleep,
and felt so much
like a white bed dream.

Fall together we must,
how easy? Ask me...

There is no better place
than my lover’s arms
and through the window,
over the bed,
the chimes will ring
the wind down.

Snowflakes should flutter down
to lay upon my shuttered eyes,
his hand upon my hip.

In the stillness of my lover’s arms,
in the quiet of a winters night.
