Princess Di
July 1, 1961 - Aug. 31, 1997

Few famous people compel me to write
But there is one who died the other night
And hearing Princess Di has passed away
Invokes my heart to find something to say

She was beautiful both inside and out
Though she never used it to flaunt and flout
But the press hounded her right to the last
When her life ended by going too fast

Truly helping is how her time was spent
From the deathly ill to the innocent
Her kindness for those in pain is well known
Though she suffered a great deal of her own

Most in the world loved and respected her
Much more so than Prince Charles as it were
Something about her was special indeed
Her opinion, a great many would heed

Now world leaders and commoners alas
Mourning for the loss of this noble with class
A tragic end to a real fairy tale
We’ll all miss Princess Diana of Wales
