Millenial Madness

The year two thousand is close at hand
A frenzied pace is upon the land
Where change is all that remains the same
And every day the fire is fanned

Outrageous events turn into fame
On trading cards or video games
Increased profit has become the gage
And even a tee shirt has a name

Called by some the information age
Where keeping current is now the rage
But others believe the end is near
Quoting verses or some sort of sage

The worlds focus is not very clear
A good deal of people live in fear
Finger pointing is feeding the squall
Sediments of a cultured vaneer

I've seen the graffiti on the wall
Like a lunatics frenetic scrawl
It's not Gaia that's destined to all
It's millennial madness that's all
