You.. who hold back my progress;
the one who's never content ‘til I fail.
Not satisfied with just carving out my cross.
You must also hammer in the nails.
You.. who drain the very life from me,
and then cast me in Gehenna's fire.
Beaten down and trampled underfoot.
I'll rise above the flames
like the phoenix to stand even higher.
You.. who deny me truth,
and fill my world with unjust ways.
I may be the one suffering now
but in the end you'll be the one who pays!
