Contrary

Mighty as a lion
weak as a lamb
Flying to the stars
crawling in the sand
Crafty as a fox
ignorant as an infant with problems at hand
Sea blue eyes know the mystery
while blindness prevails across the land
Contrary with conviction, common as dirt
but never walk like the average man
Wings to soar, I've been to the sky
saw it fall, watched it shatter along with the damned
Rebuilt the day, and cracks are few
but I lament naivity slipping through my hands
I know the secret but find it strange
busted is the same as built
and the sky is only alternate sand
